HOW DID YOU GET INTO CYCLING?
A family friend and Barbadian track cyclist, Barry Forde watched me win a gold medal at a National event. In 2013 I moved to the UK, and found John Wann to coach me. He specialises in training track racing. My school, Sherfield, offered scholarships for athletes and support and guidance
DO YOU ALSO TRAIN THROUGH EVENTS?
I train everyday on the bike on rollers or the turbo, for at least an hour, except for the days when I go to the gym. That's usually 2 to 3 times a week. On gym days, I just do 20 minutes on the rollers to spin my legs.
HOW DO SEASONS EFFECT YOUR TRAINING?
Training also involves racing track leagues. I do a track league on Tuesday depending on the season, it's on Monday in the summer. I do a road ride on Sunday. Obviously that changes depending on the weekend cycle of events and races, and what my coach and I set. I tran on average 8 hours a week.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT PEDALSURE?
As an Ambassador of PedalSure I am engaged in not just helping new cyclist take up the sport, but also making sure they do so safely! I also raced for Team PedalSure in the last Revolution Track Series and even won the Dash in Round 5.
